What is this?

This is one of the common icons for an RSS feed. You may also see buttons like these:

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution.

If you are using Firefox you can drag the icon in the address bar down to your bookmarks to create a “Live Bookmark” that will allow you to see when AccuRev news is released.

There are many other ways to access RSS feeds. You can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select, enabling you to view hundreds of headlines at once. After installing the news reader, you can add each feed manually from the Web site by clicking on the "Subscribe" or the orange button next to the feed.

The New York Times has an excellent primer on RSS here (http://www.nytimes.com/ref/technology/circuits/03basi.html), and they offer a wide selection of RSS feeds.

An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a Web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add RSS feeds directly to their personal page.
