Windows Installation Instructions

If you downloaded the exe format package, just double-click the file you downloaded to run the installation program.

If you downloaded the zip or gz compressed package, you need to extract the install



Unix Installation Instructions

If you downloaded the bin format package, open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installation package.


At the prompt type: sh <downloaded_file>
Replace '<downloaded_file>' with the filename of the file you actually downloaded.

If you downloaded the gz or zip compressed package, you need to extract the installation program before you can run it as shown above. The gzip and unzip tools are used to extract these package formats and are standard on many unix systems. These tools are also freely available on the web.
