AccuRev Web Interface
User's Guide

Version 2009.1
April, 2009

The AccuRev Web Interface (Web GUI) provides a convenient way to view information from the AccuRev repository. Using the Web GUI, you can perform the following tasks:

The Web GUI only interacts with data from the AccuRev Server. Data from user workspaces which has not been kept or promoted will not be visible from the Web GUI.

Accessing the Web GUI

To access the Web GUI, navigate to its location in your browser (usually http://<servername>:<port>/accurev). You will need to obtain the specific URL from your system administrator. The Web GUI requires Internet Explorer (version 6 or later) or Firefox (1.5.0 or later) to run.

Once you have logged in to the Web GUI, do not use the browser's controls to navigate elsewhere or reload the page. These actions will end the session, and you will have to log in again.

You can switch to other application windows, or open or close other browser tabs and windows, without affecting the status of the Web GUI.

Logging In

When you first visit the Web GUI, the Login to AccuRev Server dialog appears. Only registered AccuRev users can access AccuRev data; therefore you must log in before doing anything else.

To log in, enter your AccuRev user name and password and click Ok.

Note: If you need to access a different server, contact the Web GUI system administrator for assistance.

Once you log in, the Web GUI displays. No tabs are visible; choose an action from the toolbar to view or open streams or issues. The status bar at the bottom of the window contains information on which AccuRev server and depot (if any) you are currently accessing.

Opening a Stream

To open a stream and view its contents in the File Browser, use the Look up Stream command on the Web GUI toolbar.

Other views in the Web GUI include the Diff Tool, the Annotate Tool, the History Browser, the Query Browser, and the Issue Edit form.

AccuRev Commands

The Web GUI toolbar at the top of the page contains general AccuRev commands:
