Managing the Software Development Lifecycle
AccuRev ensures greater project visibility, team collaboration, and software asset reuse to help the enterprise deliver releases 30% faster than with traditional branch-based software change and configuration management (SCCM) tools. AccuRev allows organizations to dynamically manage changes to their mission-critical applications and adapt their software development processes to their changing business needs at a fraction of the cost, time, and complexity typically required with traditional SCCM tools. Designed to meet the challenges of today’s complex and changing software development environments, AccuRev eases the pains associated with geographically distributed and offshore development teams working on multiple releases in parallel, and it enables the coexistence of multiple development process models including Scrum, Waterfall, Lean, XP, and RUP.
The primary measure of success with AccuRev is a significant increase in the software development team’s ability to deliver more high-quality releases and functionality in any given time period without increased staffing.
AccuRev customers have seen the following benefits from retooling their software development processes:
- Improved visibility, communication, and collaboration among developers engaged in globally distributed development.
- Reduced costs and increased productivity from the elimination of time-consuming manual processes.
- Improved ability to execute multiple projects in parallel with limited engineering resources.
- Improved software quality resulting from reduced errors associated with highly automated software development practices, such as continuous integration.
- Better project management metrics that emerge naturally from automated processes.
- Ease of use, agility, high performance, and process flexibility to easily accommodate multiple processes and organizational changes.
Company History
AccuRev began shipping commercial software tools in 2002, and after experiencing initial success, took venture investment to accelerate growth in 2005. AccuRev opened its European and Indian operations in 2007, and has been self-funded and growing profitably since 2010.
AccuRev’s initial product release was designed specifically to address the limitations of branch and label software change and configuration management (SCCM) tools with an innovative, stream-based architecture and process-centric SCCM product that shares the company name.
