R. Stephen McCormack

Steve McCormack is a co-founder of Commonwealth Capital Ventures. Throughout his career, Mr. McCormack has established a record of successful investments in early-stage technology and healthcare opportunities.
Before founding Commonwealth Capital, Mr. McCormack was a Senior Vice President with 3i Corporation. Prior to joining 3i, he was a Partner with Merrill Lynch Venture Capital. McCormack was also previously employed with MTDC as well as with the Bank of New York and Interactive Data Corporation.
A graduate of Dartmouth College in Psychology, Mr. McCormack received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
President & CEO, AccuRev
Peter Shields is President and CEO of AccuRev. He is responsible for business strategy, product development, sales, services, marketing and business development efforts.
Mr. Shields joins AccuRev with an excellent track record and extensive experience managing software companies similar to AccuRev. Previous assignments included: CEO of SoundBite Communications (NASDAQ: SDBT), CEO of Formation Systems (acquired by Infor), and VP of Worldwide Sales at Aspen Technology (AZPN).
Mr. Shields holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, and a B.S.E., Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Richard J. Davis
Chief Executive Officer, Avectra
Mr. Davis is currently Chief Executive Officer for Avectra, where he provides strategic direction and day-to-day operational leadership. He brings more than 30 years of sales, marketing and operational experience in the technology industry into his role as CEO.
Mr. Davis started his career in technology with several cutting-edge software companies, gaining extensive experience developing strategy and growing revenue. His international experience includes managing operations throughout Europe, China, Mexico and Panama.
Mr. Davis most recently served as president and CEO for Ultimus, Inc. Previous CEO positions also include Ardence, Inc., and Rand McNally and Company. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Boston area non-profit From the Top, which showcases America’s best young musicians, as well as for AccuRev.
Managing Director, G2 Capital Advisors
David Ellenberger most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of 170 Systems, Inc., a leading provider of software products and services designed to dramatically reduce operational costs and increase the financial compliance of large ERP systems. Mr. Ellenberger was also Chief Executive Officer of Vividon Inc., a leading provider of Internet infrastructure devices for high-volume streaming media applications, until its merger with Starbak Communications, Inc. Before joining Vividon, Mr. Ellenberger was President of DataSage Inc., a leader in data mining and personalization applications. DataSage, where he completed the sale of the company to Vignette Corporation.
Mr. Ellenberger began his career at Bell Laboratories, and served for more than ten years at Data General Corporation in progressive leadership and general management positions.
Mr. Ellenberger holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago, an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S.E.E. degree from Iowa State University.
Paul Levine is an exceptionally accomplished entrepreneur and technology enterprise leader. He co-founded and served as president and CEO of Atria Software, developer of the ClearCase® software development management solution. He continues to consult with technology startups and lectures on entrepreneurship at Boston University.
Previously, Mr. Levine was at Morgenthaler, a west coast venture capital firm, managing investments in information, communications and semiconductor technology companies. He also served as Vice President of Research & Development at Apollo Computer and in the networking group at Prime Computer.
Mr. Levine holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Managing Director, Velocity
Jeffrey Vogel has over 15 years experience in operating and financing high tech software companies. Prior to co-founding Velocity in 2000, Mr. Vogel was Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Research and Development for eBusiness Technologies, a leader in XML Content Management Systems. In 1989, he co-founded Electronic Book Technologies (EBT), a pioneer in SGML and XML information systems. At EBT, Mr. Vogel led R&D until 1996 when he helped sell the company to Inso, a publicly traded company. From 1996 to 1998, he was Vice President of Engineering at Inso’s Electronic Publishing Solutions business unit and was also very active in the company’s corporate development activities where he helped acquire and integrate upwards of a half dozen acquisitions.
Mr. Vogel represents or has represented Velocity as a board member or board observer in a number of portfolio companies, including BEZ, WebDialogs, Nexaweb, Digital LightCircuits, and Collego.
Mr. Vogel is currently is a Director of the Slater Center for Interactive Technology as well as Vice President and Executive Board member of the JCC of Rhode Island. He holds an A.B. in Computer Science and Economics from Brown University and is married with one daughter.
