Today, organizations are adopting Agile processes, utilizing geographically distributed teams, and implementing parallel development. For organizations adopting Agile processes, AccuRev provides comprehensive support for Multi-stage Continuous Integration, developer private workspaces, and other Agile best practices, while preserving full and simultaneous support for other process models (e.g., waterfall, RUP, etc.)In order to reduce the risk associated with migration, each deployment of AccuRev’s ClearCase Upgrade Program includes an AccuRev for ClearCase license which enables bi-directional auto-synchronization between AccuRev and ClearCase.

Geographically distributed and outsourced application development using ClearCase MultiSite or ClearCase Remote Client is not economically or practically sustainable. When ClearCase was first deployed, you had fewer distributed users, and outsourced development probably wasn't even on your roadmap. Today, the costs, complications and compromises of managing remote teams with ClearCase are prohibitive and not necessary.
