The Agile Success Workshop from AccuRev
While Agile promises are great – faster time to market, better software, delivering what customers really want , etc. - sometimes Agile progress does not go as smoothly as planned. For example, getting a pilot off to a good start takes more than picking the right project; you need to have everyone on the same page as to goals and objectives. When going from pilot to rollout stage with Agile, unique problems pop up like managing across teams and getting to done on regular basis.
Problems with Agile at any stage are quite common and manageable once you have diagnosed them and have clear plan of action for overcoming them.
Our consultants have worked with over 100 companies to help software development professionals understand and improve their development process. As a result, we have created the Agile Success Workshop which is uniquely designed to uncover issues and ensure ongoing positive performance with your Agile efforts at any stage of the adoption process.
This Workshop leverages our expertise within your leadership team to:
- Document and troubleshoot process problems various groups are having
- Find specific process problems that span groups like managing dependencies
- Identify best practices within successful teams and propose the best ways to circulate these practices across your organization
Once the workshop is completed we deliver an Agile Action Plan for your leadership team to improve your results over the next six months and beyond.
The Agile Success Action Plan includes recommendations for improvement, and clearly identifies those that:
- Need to be done by your management,
- Require additional training or consulting, or
- Would benefit from upgrades to your infrastructure.
The first item is up to you. We can help with training, including Product Owner Training, Scrum Master Training, and the newly launched Scrum Team User Training. And finally, we proudly offer AgileCycle, the industry's Best-of-Breed Agile development lifecycle product suite.
Scrum Team User Training
Starting a pilot and want to get everyone trained? Was your Agile pilot a success and now you are ready to go big with Agile? Want to get you and the rest of your team running at peak efficiency? The next step is to see and experience first-hand how a successful Agile project operates at scale. In the Scrum User training, the Agile experts from AccuRev will get you trained on the benefits of Agile and how a successful Agile project works. The one-day training covers the nuts and bolts of a typical Scrum-based Agile process, from entering new requests as User Stories all the way to shipping a product.
You will break up into small cross-functional teams and work together to write user stories, create a story point scale, use Planning Poker to estimate stories, create a backlog, and “ship” two versions of their software project. Shipping the project will involve iteration planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
“Instructors engaged the audience right from outset and responded extremely well to all the questions.
Training was very well structured. You guys did a fabulous job. Thank you.” - H.T. Austin, TX
